filler for pitting

Hi: Does anyone have any experiance filling pitting on the outside of shotgun barrels? I would preffer black colour. Thanks

You can try POR-15, do a search for it on the web - their site is easy to guess. I have that stuff on my car under weather and it's extremely rugged and sturdy. They come in black gloss, black matte, a few other colours and clear. The boys on car forums swear by POR-15 and I second that.
You can put a few layers and sand down.

We experimented with jb weld on some deep pits. It seemed to work good.
