So when I was about 12 I took the Hunter Apprenticeship Safety Program. I'm about 99% sure I had to take the Firearms Safety Course to pass and receive my apprentice card. Would a photo copy of my card and test scores be enough for proof of passing the Firearms Safety Course? Do I write down my card number anywhere on the application? I just want to make sure I'm not messing this up since I'm really looking forward to buying a CZ858. I know it's going to take forever to get a PAL, and even longer if I mess up the application.

Thanks

If I'm not mistaken, I believe those credentials only qualify you in the Province of Manitoba and Quebec (it's listed in the PAL application form). In Ontario, I believe you have to do it all over but you should call the CFO to verify... Wait a sec, how long ago were you 12yrs old? Pre-1996 and what Firearms Safety Course did you take? The one associated with the Hunter's exam pre-1996?

I'm in Ontario and I'm 20 so about 8 years ago. I was reading this and the 3rd point says "Apprentice must successfully complete the Ontario Hunter Education Course (OHEC) and pass the examination. To recieve an A1 class Outdoors Card the Apprentice must also complete and pass the Canadian Firearms Safety Course and Examination." so I think I might have to take it. Should I still call the CFO just in case?

I have a H1 class hunter's lic from back in 1990 but my old FAC had long expired and I did not renew it post 1996. I was required to do the Firearms Safety Course/Exam again to get my PAL/RPAL.
