just curious what would be the best way to fill the slot in my SKS stock for the bayonet? im looking to make it look half decent. though it doesnt need to blend in perfectly.

Hahaha^^^ I agree, though if I was going to fill it I would glue in a wood patch that sat proud. Then sand flush, strip and re stain & shellac. Bet it would hide nicely, but I'd never do that cause the bayonet is one part of the sks I like a lot.

Thank you Zuke for valuable info. And to all the rest I had never thought of using the bayonet !!! The reason I wanted to fill it was I want to mount a bipod. Hmm that bayonet might get in the way
