I shot this 6 shot string at 500 yards yesterday. It was the 2nd shot that squirted out to the right of the other 5. Slightly over 1" CtoC for the 5 and 1.5" CtoC for the 6. I then stepped back to 700 and fired the rest of my rounds. Not nearly as pretty as the crosswind was getting the best of me. Had no vertical but a LOT of horizontal dispersion.

95 gr Bergers with a STIFF charge of H4895 and CCI Magnum primers. Gaillard 10 twist barrel with over 2000 rounds down it. Getting closer to 2400 rounds if memory serves me right.

Had not shot this rifle in over a year. Had some loaded rounds left that I wanted to blast off before the rifles goes to Guntech for more work. May end up being a switch barrel if all works out okay. 6BR for the long range plinking at the farm and a 20 Tactical for the coyotes and gopher patch.

I guess I should order my reamer and barrel for the 20 Tactical...........

Needless to say I was happy with the first 6 shots out of a clean barrel in over a year with loaded ammo about the same age........

I am glad I do not either............ I would more than likely not shoot that at a match. That load has been pretty good to me the times I have shot it at 500. At 700 though I started to get my eyes opened up. Granted it is a 95 gr Berger but I can see how the 6BR may be a bit lacking beyond 600 yards. Similarly like I feel the 308 is at 1000. It works but I figure just barely. Those are just my thoughts.

I have to get this shortrange game figured out first. I am reading Boyers book and I am into the GOOD parts on aiming, target management, and load development. Best read I have done, and I HATE/DESPISE reading.
