Ok, so I'm headed out to lethbridge next weekend for there gun show/trip to WSS. So I am creating a final shopping list for my first reloading kit. So Its going to be nothing really fancy, I'm starting small and working my up one thing at a time. And I'm probably not going to get started reloading for a while, i'm just accumulating my needs as my funds come in (I work a 4 night a week gas station job, the cash just isn't "rolling" in yet) So far I got a lee 50th anniversary kit on my list, and will replace the scale with a nicer rcbs one or something, for reloading manuals I'm grabbing ABC's of reloading and a lee manual. I'm also stuck on what to reload first, we have 2 7.62x39's (sks and jw-103) and we have a 30-30 (marlin 336). Which would be easier to start with. And i'm skipping on the brass tumbler as of right now, I will probably acquire one this summer. Thanks for your imput?

I started with the lee 50th anniversary kit as well, the scale will work just fine for starting out no need to spend another 100 dollars on that. Other than dies, powder, bullets, primers, and brass the kit has everything you need to reload. A good reloading manual is the Lyman and has pretty much everything data wise you will need. You will want to get a digital caliper and the proper size trimmer for your calibre because you will find your brass will go out of spec in around 2-3 uses.

This is all true, i started the same way. Only things on my list now are a powder trickler, bullet puller and a reloading block. None of which i need just stuff i want. Get a case lenght gauge to go with the cutter and lock stud and your good to go.

Whats a case neck dipper? And what does the lymans have over the abc's?

THe Lyman is consistantly updated with data and has an excellent overview on reloading procedures and does and donts. Extremly informative and up to date loading data for rifle and pistol

The case dipper is a tray filled with mica and 3 brushes. you dip the nick/mouth into the mica and then run it over the appropriate nylon brush. THis "Lubes" the inside of hte neck and makes the expander for the case mouth slide smoother

Maybe a nice list of alternate stuff as WSL will most likely be out of stock on everything you are looking for:D..
dB

daBear beat me to it.

WSS Kamloops has lots of Presses in stock, but count on them having what you want. You might be better off getting it online.

Well like I said I'm probably going to go to the gun show first, If I find any of my stuff there then I'll pick it up right away (If its the right price) and I will head to WSS after. Won't probably get my bench set up till this summer, but have all my stuff ready for the winter then...
