Finally a decent light mount for the Benelli M4

Okay yeah that is a prettly slick design. Who knows who will import something small like that though!

yer talked to them a few times, price is way to high and dealer markup would not even cover taxs and shipping, Now with the $ at 13% is have to sell that thing for $200 just to make 8% mark up

It's a pretty small market item, with what looks like a lot of machine time and R&D into it. $200 would be totally reasonable for a part like that I think. It's still cheaper (and a lot lower profile) than the unobtainium Surefire M80 fore end plus mount.

It looks similar, but the Elzetta clamps to both the barrel and the magazine tube, so in order to field strip your shotgun a tool is needed. The AVA clamps to the barrel only so you field strip normally without tools. A HUGE benefit in my eyes. Or, if you chose to use a laser on the far side Picatinny rail it won't lose zero either.

If anything, the M4 needs more parts taken off and made lighter instead of adding more #### to it. It already weights a ton. :)

That looks like a nice mount though.

Guys, I noticed a huge spike in referrals from this website to my webpage. I appreciate the interest. I will address a few things here, be glad to answer any questions, please email me at Joel@AVATactical.com

Price is where it is at due to low volume market, machining time being high. I did not want to compromise on the product, and going into this designing what I thought was the ideal system for the M4 I wanted it to be perfect. To make this requires quite a bit of machine time and this costs me quite a bit of $. This is basically a hobby for me, I will be lucky to break even. This is not a profit center for me, despite the price point.

I am not familiar with exports, but I know enough to be very intimidated by ITAR and other US laws. I apologize for this issue. I have been trying to work with Brownells as I know they do some exporting, you may contact them and ask them to stock this is if this is a place you can order from. If there is a Canadian company that does imports like this I will be glad to engage them to see if this is navigable.

Similarities to Elzetta.... Elzetta is a recent manufacturer. Barrel / Magazine clamps for shotguns have been around long before Elzetta. The AVA Mount differentiator, as tnegrin83 notes, is that we do not clamp to the magazine tube therefore we do not interfere with the disassembly/assembly of the M4. This is a key factor in the design of the M4 as required by the US DOD testing, it must be able to be field stripped in less than 60 seconds without the use of tools.

Thanks All!
