I have always been interested in the AR but what has kept me away all this time is the neautured 5 rnd mags:mad:Now that we can have and use the 10 rnd mags i decided it was time.:)
I started off with the 10/22 AR look alike wich filled a need for awhile and still love to shoot it.
I ended up buying the 870 AR stock adapter and rail wich made my 870 look bad a$$.
Still i needed that 100% AR
I wanted to build up my own lower so i went with a Spikes Tactical lower.I installed a DPMS LPK wich seems to be good.I then bought a Bushmaster 11.5 AR off of here for a good price.I only realy wanted the upper but it was a package deal.I will eventualy sell off the Bushmaster lower.
I also decided i needed to fill my 9MM AR need as well so i bought a CMMG 8.5 inch complete rifle from Questar.
Also i realy like the Magpul grips and stocks as you can see.:)
I had them all out on the weekend and they all ran perfectly.
I now need to buy more 9MM 10 rnd mags.

Never nice! I hope to be a member of the AR club soon. There are just too many options for AR's, hard to decide which model should pop my cherry. I like the handguard on the 9mm, i'd want something like that on my AR.

Have you thought about getting a .22lr CMMG conversion kit for the AR too, or is your 10/22 fulfilling the cheap to shoot need?

The 10/22 kit is filling the need to shoot 22s:)
I might later on down the road get a 14.5 inch upper for it.

I had it out yesterday for the first time.
All i can say is wow this is a fun and accurate gun.
I shot 150 rnds of Combat masters 124 grn rnd nose and 50 rnds of 147 winchester white box flat point and had no malfunctions. The new mag design for theese are great. Now i need to buy 5 or more.:)
