Well...today was the day to make boom-boom!
I got bored as heck being sick and since the basement is so much cooler, I ventured down there, and it was only a matter of time before I started tinkering.
Promptly snapped off the pin on my universal de-capper, no idea how, so I had to switch back to my de-cap and resize die. I was weary of doing this (there is allot going on there) as a rookie, but I had no choice. It actually turned out for the best. It means I get it all done in one pass
I now have:
Stage One - De-cap and Resize
Stage Two - Prime, flare and charge powder
Stage Three - Ram the Bullet
It took some tinkering with, and I still have some indexing issues, but I managed to get it going to I can do what I estimate to be about 150-200 rounds and hour.
I banged off 32, and headed off to the range both out of curiosity to see if they would work, and just to get out of the house.
Much to my surprise, no failures or squibs. And they grouped WONDERFULLY in my Ruger P85, which is my $280 tester and a fine pistol on it's own. Quite accurate, and if I blow her up I'm not out a bundle LOL.
My reloads are way more accurate than I am!
Tempted to go and bang off a hundred more, but I am a little tired and distracted now, and feel like a couple of brew to celebrate, and as we all know reloading combined with ANYTHING else is a no-no..so Corona here I come!
Next! .223!
