So I just thought I'd share this with all the NOOBS out there who always ask these questions over and over.

This is the time line from getting my RPAL, Joining a club, taking the club level safety course, and getting my LTATT...

So I first took my RPAL class on the first weekend of April 2012, I got my Licence at the start of the summer. Joined a club that day, Took the safety class 6 weeks later and today I got the email that my LTATT is in and I can start shooting whatever firearms I have.

So It took me from about April 4th or something until today November 29th to complete the whole process with no issues, delays, or hiccups.

Good luck

I think OP's experience must be a little unusual (?). My own experience is that it only took just under 8 weeks from taking the courses (August 25) to getting the PAL in the mail (October 18) then joined a club, got my LTATT, and took my first gun home by November 1. Total time about 10 weeks.

Maybe a difference between Ontario's rules and BC's?
We took our CFSA/CRFSA courses October 1 to 4th, passed exams, got the paperwork verifying that on the spot.
Mailed applications on October 10th, received in Miramichi Oct 15th.
Joined our range November 5th.
Issued our licenses November 14th
Did a range safety orientation on November 25th.
Husband received his R/PAL in the mail November 26th, he already had a couple of pistols on hold at a shop, they filled in the paperwork for the transfer, STATT and LTATT and submitted it, just waiting for a call to go pick them up, which should be within the next 2 weeks.
So he'll be shooting at our range by the third week in December, so about 11 weeks from start to finish.

Mine is taking a little longer. After verifying the address on my application during my interview, someone still didn't catch that it had been entered into their system incorrectly so my R/PAL was sent to the wrong address. They are re-issuing and sending it out to the correct address now.
