Decided on the Fabarm Trainer in nickel over the Remington MM. I love the balance and lightness (for long days carrying the thing in the field) of the Fabarm, and the rust resistant barrel is a definite selling point.

So, what do you all recommend I do to "shoot it in"? Can you recommend a cheap target shell--its been said Canadian Tire sells a cheap box? Any other words of wisdom for this gun n00b would be most appreciated.

Is it a pump? I don't think you need to break them in. Just racking the slid when you fondle your new toy should break it in enough.

For just shooting junk, I just buy whatever's cheap at the moment. I save the better stuff for hunting. Even then sometimes I just use what's cheap.

Yes, it is a pump.

Nine, thanks. I figured shooting it in would be more to acquaint me to the gun, rather than improve the working ability of the gun (which is alread pretty darn slick). I was seriously considering buying your Marine Magnum, but my PAL didn't arrive before you sold it. Which Fabarm do you have?

I shot one of the Martials (the composite I think) while shopping. That short barrel produced quite the fireball and a stiff kick.

Nice pics, and gun.

Done deal. I am now a gun owner for the first time in my life. The folks at The Shooting Edge couldn't be better to deal with either. A great experience all around.

Nine, does your Fabarm have about a two milimeter gap between the bolt and the stock side of the ejection port when the action is closed? It seems to be part of the design since all of the Fabarms I saw at TSE (including the Martial Composite I shot) had it. The Remington has a taper that begins at that point but you only see bolt through the whole shell ejection port in them, and no gap. Just wondering.

Is thee any way you can do some more pics of the fabarms withthe knox stock on, id like to see some closer pics maybe even some action pics!!.
that Marine look is very nice!!

Thank you--and that Marine coat is critical to life in the mountains.

I suspect you'd like to see a close up of the adapter for the Remington stock? ;)

I'll take a few more pictures this evening. If possible even an action pic or two.

As requested, a few higher res, close up shots. Sorry about the depth of field issue in the one and flash--it was a late night at the office, and it was dark when I got home. And I need to unwind and get to bed for a 7:30 meeting at the farm...

What does a gun like that cost? Any links for a seller? Its real nice thats for sure!!

Thanks! When I got it it was less than now, and only slightly more than the Remington (which is a fair bit heavier--a deal breaker for a constant companion firearm). It, like many things, has recently gone up in price.

The link BBB posted would provide more information for sure!
