Finally got a VZ...

Paid $599 for my CZH2003 Sport when they first became available (2005?). Don't hear too much about them. Anyone know how many were brought in?

What does everyone prefer the cz or vz and why?

On a serious note, I have had a few of both, and all worked fine. The 858 has it's historical lineage to it, while the VZ58 is a modern replica of the same hardware. I found neither one better or worse, and continue to enjoy both.

I love my VZ58 in 5.56, makes the trip to the range or out to the gravel pit or wherever I am going shooting every time I go out. Its fun, and accurate. My head is telling me to sell it, but my heats won't let me yet! If I did something tells me it would just end up getting replaced ed by another eventually. Mines got the adaptor so it takes the 10 round LAR mags. More fun at one time
