I must have called every dealer in Canada this summer looking for one of these!

And two weeks ago i finally got one i had called a large dealer in June looking for one and was told to call back in a week and they should have some..... they didn't was informed then that they might have some in the fall i called back then and ........... they didn't but this time i put my name on the wait list and not four days later. Ka-bam they had one i didn't hesitate and bought it. easily my new favorite rim fire it has great balance and shoulders great. I have had no ftf or fte yet with the two different brands of ammo that i tried cci standard and blasers. the fit and finish is good but is a matte finish over all really nice rifle that to me was worth the wait and the price. also i really like the tru-glo sights. I would like to add a scope but don't want to lose the use of the open sights.

It was worth the wait, was it????? They are neat, much overlooked carbines. Have mine a while now, take it out gopher shooting occasionally. Very accurate but I need a scope. The Weaver 3-9 32 AO works great and is small enough to not spoil the look of the gun. Be aware though that they do spit back a bit so glasses are a must.

Ten round mag limit is not a bad thing on this gun. I have three extras, didn't really need them, but you never know. Might run into a swarm of zombie gophers. Don't need to hang a load of crap on it. They work just fine out of the box, unlike others.

I have one too. Great rifle. I highly recommend you get the Ultimate clip loader for it - makes having the rifle twice as good.

I put a 3X9-40AO scope on mine.
It works well and doesn't overpower the rifle. (IMO)

I had one in a gray laminate for a couple of years and 2 hand fulls of magazines I could really mow the gophers down, plus mine was real accurate out to 100 yards. Scope I used was the Leupold 2-7 rimfire, perfect size for the rifle, nice fine crosshairs. FS

If I hold my tounge just right and the prairie winds aren't howling , I can pick gophers off at 80-100 yards with my sporter. That's stretching it for me with only the 3-9 Weaver. Don't want to spoil the looks of the rifle with a larger scope. I always take out several guns so for the longer shots a CZ or Anschutz is close by.

Often wondered about these nice guns. Do they use the same magazine as the Buckmark pistol? And if so I assume 10 rds., is and will always be the limit.

These guns essentially ARE the Buckmark pistol, just with a stock and a long barrel added on. I actually got a pair of free mags with the Buckmark pistol I bought at Cabela's a few months back because some nutjob bought a Buckmark rifle and REFUSED to take the mags for it!

They're the same part (easiest mags I've ever loaded, FYI), already paid for, and the gun counter guys were sick of holding on to them... So I walked away with a sweet little freebie that day!
