All right guys! After years of chitchatting on CanadianGunNutz (twice before it closed/reopened/renewed itself!), I finally got my own restricted PAL!

I am, for now, a student on a budget... and I saw this deal on Wolverine Supplies, a used S&W SIGMA .40S&W 2 magazines and manual for $349.00

It seems to me to be an awesome price for a quality American handgun. Would you more experienced guys recommend this to me?

By the way, I am not afraid of recoil; in fact, I love it. But I don't want something too big given that I feel like practising quite a lot with it.

What do you guys think, considering the price?

Also, how many weeks will it take to come (including the bureaucratic process.....)?

From what I've heard about the sigma, its a POS. I would personally start out with a .22 auto. In BC rough prices for ammo are; $14/box50 9mm $18/box50 .40 and $14/box500 .22LR. FWIW I can blow through a box of 500 fairly easily in a range visit. Most of my transfers are less than a week, but I had one take 2weeks. Apply for your ATT right away, you don't need to own a gun to apply for one.

How come you don't need to own a gun to apply for an ATT ?
Tought those was to move the gun, so basicly you need a gun no?

You need a PAL to apply for an ATT. The guys at the range I go to told me to get my ATT so when I got my gun I could go to the range right away. You can apply for you ATT before or after you get your gun, but you cant go to the range without it.
