This little 6mm bolt to lock the rail in place on my SKS was just horrible on my quick rail. The Allen keys that came with it just stripped, the Allen head on both sides was stripped after 1 use. So I looked up some quick pins from one of the industrial suppliers we use at my work and picked up a couple of these pins. Couldn't be happier now!

I ended up ordering a couple of them, so if anyone needs one, let me know via PM and I'll see what it would cost to mail you one. I'm in the Niagara area for anyone local that might want to take it off my hands.

I have your rail aleady, with tax and shipping this pin would have cost me $30, I couldnt do it being I work in a machine shop and but parts like this all the time. Cost me a fraction of yours, but only because you needed 15 to mail it to me.

Yes, tracked shipping on a small item is always an issue. And as my shipping charge is a flat rate I try to average out the cost across North America and for whatever size the order is.

I will ship an item of this size non tracked if a customer specifically requests it, but there is no way of guaranteeing delivery.

So far that hasn't bitten me on the ass, but I wait with baited breath .... LOL

I figured the bolt was needed to hold a zero on a scope?

Does anything hold that pin in, or is it just friction?

The pin is the exact same Ø as the bolt, and it has a spring loaded detent ball to keep it from coming out on its own, but mine is a snug fit which will make sure it never comes out, and probably keeps the zero on the rail.
