Happy Sunday Fellas.

After a solid year of research I made a decision to enter the long range game. I wanted a rifle that i could use for both sportnshooting/competition and long range hunting; understanding that game hunting would be in stationery positions and requirena bit of planning.

So, I went to see the crew at Al Flahertys and picked up a Tikka TAC A1chambered in 6.5 Creedmore, mounted a set of Stiener Rings, a Khales 624i Mil Rad scope and a solid pelican case for transport. Cadex Bi Pod is on its way.

I'm extremely pumped to get out and do some shooting. Would love to meet some fellow shooters close by and hang out...do some shooting.

Ill take some pictures today and post up soon. I don't have anyone to share my excitment with...except for you guys/gals.

Would love to hear your feedback, experiences, tips or anything else to paas along the time.

Cheers and have a good day.

Right on nice set up! I just purchased a very similar set up, Tikka CTR bedded in a manners stock, Kahles 624i on a Spuhr. Would have been a lot easier(and cheaper) to just get the Tac A1, but I can’t get over the look of chassis’s!

LOL...right on man. Nice Rig!

Good choice!
Are you going to reload for it?

Pics coming soon. I recently moved houses and have to wait until my kids are not running around, so I can place my rifle on the table, or counter top and get some decent shots for you guys.

I've always wanted to learn the re loading art, but don't have anyone to learn from (in person) and not the type to just buy stuff I know little about and test. But, if someone was close by willing to show me the ropes - i'd be all over for it. Thankfully this round already has stellar factory ammo performance.

Cheers!

Awesome Rifle & Scope combo ! What barrel lenght ? How did you decide between the 6.5 Creed and the 6.5 Rem ? RJ

RJ,

Thanks man!

I felt the 6.5 Creedmore; overall has more to offer in terms of performance; and I really like the TAC A1, so was an easy decision for me. Do you shoot the 6.5 REM?

Cheers man

I have both the 6.5 CM and the 6.5 Rem - can get a little more Vel outta the Rem 50 - 75 fps but cannot compare any thing else between them because they are 2 total differ rifles one is a Ruger Predator and the other is a Custom Rem 700 MR Hand loading is a GREAT sport and comps shooting BUT it is Time comsuming too - BUT i have lots of time ! Cheers RJ

Sounds like a lot of fun. Enjoy man!

Congrats on the purchase that's going to be one hell of a setup. I will be picking up the same scope soon.

Look forward to seeing the pics

Thanks a lot fellas.

How the heck am I supposed go to work tomorrow? Haven't been this pumped in a while.

Been looking out the basement window with my scope...wow is it ever clear and crisp! This is my first scope outside of the Zeiss Victory line up and not disappointed one bit on glass quality. The SKMR 3 reticle is awesome.

Absolutely RJ - I wouldn't expect less, but I have been disappointed before with optics quality on "other" scopes. I feel good about the choice I made.
