I'd say that the best choice for an optic mount on those shorties would be a scout mount+T1 or similar. I think BC tactical makes one.

Satain, what optic are you running on your scout mount? I'd love to see a pic of the Insight MRDS on it...I think I read in another thread you got one, right? That optic would look sweet on a compact, I think.

Should these things be registered as handguns?

They seem to fit the same criteria as the LAR-15 handguns.

If they were registered as handguns, then they could have 10 rounds magazines.
