Well after a long time of searching for the right one it finally came along, a very nice used vz58, I had started collecting mags and wood furniture long before I got this guy, as luck would have it it came with beautiful wood furniture installed already!
Haven't got a chance to shoot it yet but I can't wait! Photos are from the seller, I would be hard pressed to take some as nice. Can't believe it took me so long to get one!

Just a FYI I have heard right from the office of Minister of Pub Safety that they plan to prohib the original batch with the welds on them. The only good thing is that the Libs are so disorganised that it will take a while. No they won't seize them but offer a pro hib licence . So a prohib licence is pretty awesome . I don't think they thought this out.

Might be a dumb question but which model was the original ?

Wow that's gorgeous, love the shorter barrel - wish they were non-res but a range toy is never a bad thing to have!

Yea I just can't get over the look of the non restricted ones. Those Zhukov forends do a good job of hiding the length but then it looks like Lamborghini doors and rims on a faded 80's ford tempo in my opinion,

Yea it looks much better with the shorter barrel, I am in the middle of installing a zhukov handguard and russian red stained beechwood stock, but it will definitely never be as good looking as a nice short barrel

No this prohibited license won't be any good it won't let us buy any other prohib. They can shove it.

The CZ one imported after certain year (CZ ran out of semi receivers) RCMP banned together with SAN rifles. Open your receiver there is a wield spot on the right where automatic sear was supposed to go. According to our laws "converted" automatic stays automatic.

And i don't think we'll get the same prohib class as AKs, they will come up with a separate one. So we will have a 1K paperweight with a much more stringent storage requirements and forfeiting our civil rights against unwarranted search.

That's nice... how much did you pay? I like the shorter barreled versions too and their nice fireballs! And dressed in wood, the way they should be.

I think the converted ones almost encompassed the entire lot. There were only a couple dates that were 'legal' during the last fiasco. Not saying what Ottawa is stating is gospel, but I'm sure Goodale wants these pretty bad.

Paid 1000$ all in with 4 mags and 2 muzzle breaks and a hard case to boot, I thought it was a great deal, I still couldn't be more happy with it! its pristine!
