Just ordered online from Wanstalls, my first 30-30 a Moosberg 464 SPX, i know it is ugly like a sin but it is the man first 30-30, so dont be to hard on me... JP.
 
I use to be an ####### that ragged on particular firearms that I didn't personally find appealing but now I just say #### it and say any firearm owner should be able to own what ever the hell pleases them.

The 30-30 is a lot of fun. Hope the gun works out well for yea.

Go to the range with that thing and watch all the old Fudds give you the stink eye :D
 
Well.....When I first looked at it I wasn't sure what to think. But it grows on ya. Should get some interesting reactions at the range with it.

Actually my grandson Karl finded this rifle so cool ( 14 years old), i got caught in the game... Hey i hope the more it is ugly the best it shoot, an ugly rifle that shoot good is beautifull... JP.
 
I had to look that up -never seen one before - I dunno what to think - kinda like Star Wars meets the Lone Ranger.......;)

30-30 is loads of fun, though. :)

That's a different take on a 3030 for sure. I can see the collapsible stock being handy for different sized people. If it makes a younger person want to get out and shoot, it's worth every penny. I can't help but wonder if it will feel front heavy? I'm looking forward to the range report also.

Caramel- You do know that Winchester is making lever 30-30's again, right? And they're very nice, as opposed to the Mossberg.

I bought a 30-30 not for the performance but because with over 200 rifles to my record, never had one, since my grandson find it cool, it's like getting 2 birds with the same stone, i dont think, i will trade my Scout Steyr 308 for my whitetail hunt for a 30-30, but somewere a to nice rifle ( you are right those Winchester are gorgeous) would become a safequeen now this one all the kids will be able to shoot it with the adjustable stock... JP.
 
A little shopping in town for half a dozen boxes of Leverevolutions 30-30 160 gr FTX ( maybe a few more items that i dont think of at the moment), they are supposedly very performing... JP.
 
That's a nicer gun than it gets credit for.

Kind of like that girlfriend who doesn't look like much but performs far better than most.
 
I've been doing some reading and all the reviews say that it is a very well made rifle, of quality and a good shooter, the rest is really unimportant in my book, got to marry the hottest chick of the gang not because of my face... Lol... JP.

Hey We all have our own tastes. And if this rifle gets some out there enjoying the sport all the better.
 
I imagine shooting one is a lot banging a fat chick, lots of fun once in a while but don't tell anyone.
