Found a price I could not pass up from a sponsor dealer and placed the order today.

The 92 was the first gun I truly wanted, wanted it since I was 15 when I started to get a true interest in guns. I searched "handgun" on google and the 92 was the first to come up. Loved the looks and Wanted one ever since, but for some reason I never picked one up, even when I had the money I never dropped the cash.

So, while I wait, anyone have any tips for a soon to be new 92FS owner? Ammo they like, little hiccups, ect? will probably order a case in a few weeks as well so might as well get a weight it likes, gotta keep it happy ya know.

Thanks.

change the plastic spring guide for a metal one...get them from Wolff. Other than that...enjoy the 92...great pistol.

Who carries mags for these? Would like a few more to go with the two included.

Man Im getting impatient already, its still gonna be a few weeks, and what a long few weeks its gonna be lol.

I found the plastic grip panels a little bit slippery. Replaced mine with a set of Hogue rubber panels (about $30). Found that the pistol would more in my hands a little on every shot, and I'd be constantly resetting my grip. The rubber panels fixed that.

Don't think they are particularly fussy with ammunition. I feed mine American Eagle 124gr. with zero problems.

Be very careful disasembling that main spring/barrel ... i've had a guide rod launch across my room multiple times, s**t is dangerous :D

Well that didn't last long...

Had to cancel, it clicked that i'm not in the greatest of financial situations at this time. Also, I tend to barely have any ammo for the guns I do have, so I decided to spend quite a bit less and get set up to shoot fewer guns more.

But soon... soon...

couple of weeks ago at Italian's Xmas sale they had the 92FS for $599...$699 if you wanted the Inox...that's cheap...I paid more for my Italian Inox.
