Since I was a kid I've always wanted an m1 garand I mean it's a classic. But I wasn't looking for a parts matching collector grade no I wanted something I could bang up a bit and not worry about ruining historical value. So I searched and read and a friendly Cgn member dropped me a message Zdragunov. He basically gave me a bunch of options I could go with and then which would also change the price point which was real awesome maybe you want certain features 308. Not 30-06. He gave me a relative build time and from what I remember he was a touch early and was shipped promptly. After I recieved the package I was more than happy first with the just getting my hands on my first m1 but the work he did on the stock and assembly of the firearm.

I finally ran 80 rounds though it today ran great. Shot way beyond what I expected for peeps and American Eagle 150 fmj. All and all great builder and also a fun gun to shoot when I get more familiar with firing the m1 I'm sure my groups will get even better and hopefully the sun decides not to blind me half way through my ammo.

If anyone would like to see pictures I will post them up anyone looking for a m1 I'd shoot Zdragunov a message.

He built mine as well. Shes basically brand new and he built it at an extremely fair price, great guy to deal with, id reccomend him as well.

If you didn't already do so, get yourself a match front sight that is marked NM (National Match) 0.062 thou in width.

You target engagements at distances at or beyond 400 yards will dramatically improve.

The regular issue front sight is about .075-.078 thou in width.

truth!

my zdragunov built 308 is running fine, some minor hiccups with my custom loads but im still developing a good reliable accurate load. i wouldnt recommend shooting the norinco 308 surplus through that gun. seems to be hard on the action.

How do you find loading .308 rds in the enbloc clips?

I met a guy at a nostalgia rifle shoot who had a modern Springfield M1 in .308 and he said he had difficulty compared to loading .30-'06 in an original.

I got mine in 30-06 you have to line up the first 4 after that it's east not bad thougg I like them kinda cool concept. It's not super efficient but faster to load or the same amount as loading a regular magazine with the same amount of rounds.

Got one. Don't know what his finger problem is? Myself I have no problem with the 308 and en blocs. Just load and shoot, exactly like the 30-06 variant.
