Well I must apologize to Richard. When I got my Savage damn near 2 years ago I promised to get out and shoot some of Richard's bullets and let everyone know how they worked. Well here I am 2 years later and finally have shot them. I didn't get a chance to do any load development with them due to low stocks, but I just loaded them atop my favourite load with 42 gr of Varget in a Winchester case (once fired and FL sized) and a Federal 210 primer. This is my standby load in the 308 with 168 gr A-Max bullets. This is a 5 shot group fired from a bipod and read bag. The lower right bullet was a called flier. Even so, I think there's some potential here.

And here's a 5 shot group I shot with the same load with the 168 gr A-Max.

That's why I love my Savage.

Great B.U.M.!
The 169.5's work super in my 1:10 300WSM long range rifle.
I shot the 150 flat basees yestersday out of one of my Palma rifles( 1:14) and they ran out of steam for 1K, but were VERY accurate at 700 yards!:D
Irons and sling , prone.
target is a rock high up on the bank, it is about 1'X18" and the bullets were right on it, even with a big wind gusting up and down the river.
Going out again today, and will get some pics this time!
