Well I finally got into the world of the scatterguns! Just paid for a Mossberg 500 Desert Persuader and now I have to wait for it to arrive on Monday! Paid $300 shipped so a decent price (at least compared to the $600+ they want for them at gun stores).

Is there a difference between a Persuader 500 and a normal 500?

Now I need a sling and side saddle and a front grip taclight and....

Does anyone know exactly what rail you need for the top of the mossberg 500? I've got a line on a Eotech 552 clone that I'm thinking of throwing on top of this thing but not sure what rail I need.

Mesa tactical have one that has holes drilled in it for mossberg guns that are factory drilled and taped.
They have small screws but work well.
If you do not have the factory drilled holes, i would go with one of our S&J T.O.R 5.3 mil spec rail with #10 screws, they will never come lose under recoil and snap, like smaller screws can.
Both in stock for the Mossy and $35.99ea.

Yeah the shotgun has factory holes already in it. Im trying to search through your site but having a hard time finding things. I take it some things aren't listed?

Optics clones will prolly fail...12g has alotta thump. I suggest ghost rings of you are so inclinded or a proper optic solution. I just run a front post on my Fabarm pro forces as it hit stuff well and hard at the distance a short shotgun was designed for.

I was looking at Ghost rings (would prefer them actually) but it seems finding them can be a #####! That and then you have to try and find a gunsmith to install them which isn't easy around here.

As for this clone, there was one out here on a 870 and it held up pretty well!

Besides for $85 each (on sale) they are disposable!
