I have seen a lot of IPSC rigs up for sale in the EE lately
I too have listed some of my gear for sale.

I was just wondering if it is the economy and due to the fact that this isn't exactly the most cost effective sport or that people are just getting out of the sport all together or downsizing as i am.

I figure ill just get what i need to compete and get rid of all the extras till things turn around.
 
If they are not costing you anything to keep, hang on to them. It'll just cost you a lot more to get them back afterwards. Just shelve them for now.
Everytime the economy goes for a dump, people sell stuff, toys, cars, whatever. Then when things turn around they want them back. So you've sold stuff off for less than it's worth in oreder to move it and no-one wants to pay top dollar with a crappy economy. But in a couple of years, once prices go back up an probably higher than now, you'll want that stuff again...
 
I'm going the other way. I'm selling so I can upgrade into an open gun, preferrably higher end. I really really really like the gun PH Racing has / had for sale. I bought a Stock II for a high end production gun before Christmas and once my Edge and Glock sell I am buying the open gun.
 
I think it is because the season (up north),..is not as busy,..and folks are taking this time to move their old equipment to upgrade to new and possibly higher end equipment.
The spring is only short time away,..and before you know it,..it is summer again!!!!:cool::dancingbanana:

I doubt very much it is because of any new rules. People that would quit due to a mag or target rule are generally the people that were not that interested,..or would quit anyway. JUst my 2 cents.

I'm getting back in, good thing i ddint sell any of my IPSC gear. LOL...i just got another setup too. Looking at adding a AR15 for 3 gun.....
 
I was just cleaning out stuff to make room for more.. I was tripping over gear in my lock up.


Wait and see how the first big outside matches are and we will see if there is any economical effects.

I know the targets will sure look funny.
