I was just hoping to gather a little more information on pistols. I want to get a 9mm or 45, and my price range is $400-600. Anyone have any suggestions of what a good pistol might be (second hand is fine) and some good links or buisnesses that sell them.

Thanks!

You can get a Ruger P345 @ wholesale sports for $519.99-$549.99 depending on model. http://www.wholesalesports.com/shoot/rugerhg.htm

A CZ 75B can be had for $629 (gst included) at http://www.gunsnthings.ca/

I just bought a CZ 75 SP-01 from G&T last week, snag free other than waiting for the gun to come in. (the seller has no control over the importation) Once it came in I received the handgun next day.

:D

In that price range it'd be hard to go wrong with one of the 9mm CZ's. Wolverine Supplies carries them as well, I think. You might want to keep an eye on the Equipment Exchange Forum here as well for something along the lines of a used Glock 17, too.

Another bump for Gunsnthing, I got a new CZ97b ( a little higher than your price range) from him just before Xmas and it looks great.... will let you know how she handles after the range.....
GT has great service... replies from him back usually within the day

I own a bunch of handguns and I hear good things about the Ruger P345. I have a Ruger P85 Mk II, P90, and P97; all of these are good solid performers at good prices. Regards, Richard :D

PS if you are more specific as to the purpose the board can give you better advice
