So, If you buy some land with old buildings on it, and you find a revolver in one of them, what do you do with it? Can you register it, provided of course you have a restricted PAL and are a pistol club member, or do you just turn it in to the police or what?

Thanks.

1- There must be an error... handguns cannot be found in old barns...
1.a It's not an approved storage
1.b All handguns have already been registered...

.

On a more serious note, one would need to confirm if it is a "restricted" handgun or a "prohibited" handguns...
Restricted can be re-registered. Prohid... well... what were we talking about already?

So I guess take it to the police and if "no one" owns it, they let you re-register it then? and old not lived in house. I would guess restricted, not prohibited.

no

and

You don't have an ATT to take it anywhere.

If you don't want it, you would phone them and arrange for them to come get it.

If it isn't prohib it's no problem getting it registered provided it hasn't already been registered at some point. I've done it. If it's prohib you're toast, it can't be done

You did not find a gun.... No you did not.

Yes, it is possible to register it if it is indeed a restricted and not a prohib. Don't just look at barrel length, consider caliber too.
