Hmmm, yeah eh.
For a stripped AR barrel, hell no, not unless it's premium match grade.
An AR-10 barrel, I think everything gets more expensive for that platform.
Mind you, it also comes with a bunch of extras it seems.
Delta nut $53.50
Gas Block ~$50
Guard Cap ~$10
Gas Tube $17.95
That's $131.45 right there. You can get those parts for cheaper, but brand new oem armalite comes with a price tag.
So then you're paying $369.50 for the barrel which, if you look at what many quality AR barrels are going for, that's on par.
It shows a flash hider, which is another $32.50 I would say, but does say it comes with it, but under specs suggests that it does . . .
That would bring the barrel down to $337. Pretty much putting it the same price range of most any quality AR barrel.
Armalite is a brand I would trust for the AR-10 platform. That's just me, cause I would like to think the creators of the platform know a thing or two about building thier own rifles.
It's chrome lined, I like that. Super easy to clean.
For ultimate perspective, they have the exact same package listed in 5.56 and it goes for 399.95 which makes the AR-10 package $100 more, which to me, sounds about right.
Meanwhile, if no frills is what you're going for, then you get what you need to get things going. Just bolt it on an upper, slap on a poly guard, slip in a BCG and it's done.
I've never built of owned an AR-10 personally, but if I was on the market to build one, that's probably the route I'd take and the prices I'd expect to pay.
