Finding good bullets is damn near impossible for a 40.

I have been searching for 150 grain fmj or jhp, hell even lead for my 40. s&w and havent been able to find a damn thing!!! However I did find 10mm bullets and got curious, is it possible to use a 10mm bullet on a 40 S&W case?

if im SOL please just show mercy and link me to a dealer that can get me the bullets I need......:puke:

Try the shooting edge target sports or William arms. These guys should have it. If not they can get it in for you.

Try looking for 180 gr or so that what a lot of competition shooters use and they should be more readily avaliable.
 
10MM can handle 200 grain projectile, and so will 40 s&w(there are recipes), but pressures can skyrocket, especially if seated too deep. My buddy loaded some, ignoring my advice to load light, and blew the back end off of a case(no damage-a well-built para).
 
10mm and .40s&w are same bullets. If you ever follow history - you'd know.

Read up on why/when and how .40s&w ever came to life.

Depending on powder you use - you may wanna go with 165gr bullet as opposed to 180gr.

Why is it that Ruger makes a revolver that shoots 357 / 9mm through the same barrel? The only difference is that the revolver came with two chambers one for 357 mag and one for 9mm. The only thing I see is that the casings on both 357 and 9 mm are a different lengths. This is why the different chambers.

I have checked OD on both 38 and 9 mm and found them to be out by .01 to .02 of an inch. Yes there is a tolerance. Please tell me why I can shoot from the same gun and same barrel. It would be interesting as to how they can do it.;)

What I meant to say is how could the OP not know they were the same bullets? How can you reload without consulting a reloading manual which, co-incidentally, has diagrams and information pertaining to *gasp* bullets?!?!
