Finish on new Ruger Hawkeye SS

I just put a new Ruger Mk11 Hawkeye on layaway (270)
Better late than never, now I have questions about the new SS finish
I have a shiney 338 ruger SS mark 11

Does any body know any thing about how the new finish holds up, I dont know if I like the color but can live with it.

They have been out for a while and would like some real life experence from some body thats in the know/

I had my .358 out in the rain a few times last season and the finish is just as good as the older shiny finish.

I you were to use a fine bead-blast on your older 338, it would look like the new Hawkeye stainless finish.

Enjoy the new rifle.
