Cleaves after seening how tight and exact your reciever and bolt are . Don't chamfer the bolt half these guys are from ontario and don't use 22's as gopher guns . I have never seen your gun fail to feed and chamfering is not the best with hyper velocity ammo. Nice gopher gun my friend . Can't wait till Sunday to see it in action

Your build sounds nice Cletus!

BluPul....who told you guys from Ontario don't use .22's as gopher guns.
I know I do?

Chamfering a bolt mostly makes your action more reliable when cycling Sub-Sonic ammo, but it also aids in a smoother action when cycling HV ammo as well.

It's not absolutely necessary in your case, but it certainly wouldn't hurt. ;)

So I went out gopher shooting today without going to a range and sighted it by where I hit the dirt lol. I was able to take some out at 125 yards. Feeding was good. I love the Yukon extreme stock!! It points great. Me and Blupul killed 80 between his and my 10/22's and his 10/22 mag/ 17hmr conversion which I must say worked great.

too much talk about the evil hmr semi autos. I picked up about fifty cases and cant find one defect in the brass . but my 1022 will need some work ( probably a new bolt ). but fun when its gives three shot bursts :)
