I used to have aluminum grips (black) on my PT1911 they do make the gun look cool.

Yeah I'm gonna look into anodizing, but I do kinda like the way they look as is.

Bead blasting is a great idea, I'll give it a shot with one of the sets we screwed up and see how it looks

Thanks for that link, that's around the pricing and type of options system we're gunning for. We should be able to sit down this weekend and go through the pricing and etc. and get it worked out for a short (very short) run of these and see how it works out.

Yeah, I was thinking about it after posting and figured that probably wouldn't be a good idea. We're going to have to work out what they cost and what is fair for the work put into them.

I like the idea about the black maple leaf for contrast. We've got quite a bit of experimenting to do with the grips so add that to the list and try it out. Now I've gotta find a cheap bead blasting solution lol.
