Here's my Husqvarna in .308 that I have been restoring. I ended up with it from a co-worker who asked me to turn it in to be destroyed. I have always wanted a solid .308 so I got ahold of a gun smith in Campbell River and away we went. He's been enjoyable and patient to work with. I would recommend him to a friend for sure.
Here is a list of the stuff that was done to it;
-new barrel,
-glass bedded,
-Bold trigger,
-replaced extractor,
-new stock from Richards Micro Fit, (I would NOT recommend them to an enemy!)
Next week it is going back to loose a few inches off of the barrel and it will be getting coated with armorlite to fix all of the damage from the rust on the receiver and the floor plate.
I know I could have bought a brand new Sako or Browning for what this cost, but I made the decisions on this one, it is my own custom rifle that my 18 year old son has already fallen in love with. Later on in June we'll blast a few hundred rounds down range and then get ready for hunting.
I used the old scope rings for the picture, this weekend I will be heading down to the local gun shop for some sling swivels and new scope rings.
