Where do I get a small supply of fiberglass materials to finish a fiberglass stock I have for a build? I will need enough to finish the barrel channel once I get it shaped for the barreled action.
Also, what do I use to reinforce the sling swivel studs. Do I make an epoxy glob, for lack of a better word, where I want to install them and thread them in?

I visited Rona today and found they had the best stocked department for the do it yerself stock refinisher.... for fiberglass anyways. For gouges or for filling any areas on the stock my preferred product is made by GOOP. 2 part epoxy putties, one is called "marine fixfast" and the other is "superweld" (this one is for high heat exposure areas) . I do a lot of stocks and these two products are awesome.

Is there any issues with paint not sticking to the areas that you have filled. THere are some pin holes in the final coat that need to be filled. What grit sand paper are you using to buff out the rough spots and the filled areas?
What kind of paint do you use. I was thinking of using something to get a little texture on the stock and doing a solid base color and then splatter style a different color to cover most of the base....
