Except to a collector is there much difference pro or con to a post war stock verses war time? Worth the extra $50 ?

I don't expect it to shoot any better than the ones I already have .75-1.25" those are the 4........ I kept the best being a 42 ex-sniper Tula PEM also rare.May sell the 3 hexes and keep the PEM ? Harold

M39 built from a PEM sniper? That's pretty cool. I thought they needed as many marksman rifles as they could get.

No what I own are 3 hex 91/30's and a round receiver Tula 42 ex PEM as well an Issy 43 PU sniper.I would like to buy a 39.Harold

For shooting and usage, all M39's have the same accuracy potential, the variables are bore condition and how well the gun is still bedded today. Sometimes M39 shims can be missing from importers disassembling them to weed out hte antique receivers in the USA, or importers swapping stocks around (some people claim this happened to re-unite rare stocks with appropriate barelled actions stateside), or from wood warping or swelling and affecting the original bedding setup.

These are the same things that affect ANY milsurp rifle, so don't let this sway you overly.
