Hello Gents,
I have recently aquired an M-27 Finnish rifle. A beauty to be sure, but it leaves alot of questions I hope people can answer. Firstly, I have figured out it is both "F" and "D" marked, can I fire normal commercial 7.62X54R ammo through this rifle?
Secondly, was it common for these rifles to be built with early COMMUNIST parts, not Tsarist? Mine is such a rifle with it's bolt etc.
Thirdly, my rifle is import marked. Does this devalue the rifle? It is marked as being imported from Finland.
Lastly, there is an unknown marking on my Communist bolt, I have found out it is an early Tula Communist made bolt, but opposite the tula star mark under the bolt handle, is a circle with a K and P back to back. I have looked on Mosin.net and 7.62X54R.net and both list it as unknown. Does anyone have an idea what this mark is?
Oh, and on my buttstock is a finnish mark, two cannons and an L in a circle. This is the maker's mark, but who was the maker? Any ideas?
Yours,
Drachenblut
