Finnish M39

Hi guys. Shooting my Finn M39 `SKY` marked rifle and for some reason it has about the same recoil as my M44. Quite surprising as its bigger and heavier. Anybody else notice this ? Thanks for reading.

I`m looking to get one. How accurate was it?

We were shooting cans at about 100 yds and it wasn`t hard to hit them . we were lying down . very accurate

The 7.62x54R is a pretty big round and the M44 is not that much smaller so the difference in felt recoil is not too much.

Yea, the ugly bayonet on the M44 adds quite a bit of weight. Where you notice the difference, is the absence of the awesome M44 fireball!
