Every time I fire form cases in ackley chambers they get a little shorter. I've tried different methods but maybe someone can point out my mistake(s). I've used factory loads, I've used handloads, I've used cream of wheat and pistol powder, I've annealed necks, I've annealed a little more than the neck, I've annealed part of the shoulder, heavy bullets, light bullets, medium charge, full charge, Ramming Speed! Every time I measure the brass its shorter than trim to dimensions in differing amounts that I consider to be too much. I know this is affecting accuracy because as the case lengthens groups improve, and the cases don't stretch very quickly at all. Another problem is the necks aren't always square and trimming them flush leaves so much bullet shank exposed in the chamber I'm sure its shaving jackets. The copper fouling is bad when cases are short. HELP!
