Any honest business’s or people for firearms appraisals? I’m looking to sell a couple firearms that have been safe queens for the past 25 years.

1. Weatherby Mark V Alaskan 300 wby mag electrolysis nickel, factory muzzle brake, factory knurled barrel cap, with matching Leupold VXIII 3.5 - 10 scope (only made for two years)
2. Sako AV Finnbear Deluxe 300 wm with Leupold VXIII 2.5 - 8 scope.

Any help appreciated.

No, and I'm someone who used to provide that service at a gun store. You can walk in assuming someone knows their stuff because they're in the position they are and be very sorely mistaken (thinking back on a few coworkers). Posting good photos on this forum will give you some reasonable feedback to consider. Take a look at completed auction lots on icollector from Canadian auctions. You'll almost always do better selling scopes separately.

You have to remember too, is the person evaluating the firearms interested in buying them? Two different views. Honesty is something to look for.

Where are you located? I have always found Epps great to deal with and very transparent but they are in Ontario.
