Firearm Storage Question

I figured so, its just that i live in a town house so i don't own the place, and not sure where i could bolt this thing down.
 
I had mine bolted to the wall through a stud

good idea to do so but I don't think it is required by law or anything. Would help in an insurance case though and with the police if you did get a breakin.
 
that safe is small enough, and light enough, to carry out of your home if you had a break-in. i would bolt it down.
 
I have the exact case and have used only the predrilled holes at the back. The holes on the back of the cabinet are spaced 16" apart. This will be the same as the studs in the wall. Pre-drill the holes so that you do not crack the studs. Mine is very stable using the screws they sent with it.

When you are ready to leave. Putty the drywall, sand it flat, and see if the landlord has some paint to touch it up.

Damage deposit would be minimal in comparison to the hasle of lossing a firearm.

This would be great, the only problem my building is concrete with metal studs.

I was kinda figured i might bolt it to my dresser in the closet.
 
As long as you take reasonable precaution for the safety of others, you should be fine (CC 86(1)). If you have break-ins & theft in your neighbourhood you might want to bolt the cabinet to the wall studs or floor. Remember to remove the bolt, use a trigger lock or other locking device on your handgun.
