Hey all,

This might be a dumb question but I couldn't find a definitive answer and figured I'd ask.

Is FAC (Firearms Academy of Canada) the only institution at which I could challenge the exams for restricted/non-restricted in Toronto, Ontario? Link to the website here.

Currently the earliest I could attempt the exam would be the end of July according to their website. I'm aware there is a month waiting period roughly after you submit the application upon successfully completing the exams and sometimes longer. Just wanted to save as much time as possible any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You in advance for your help.

Why not call and see if they can fit you in before, they always have cancellations I would suspect.

I went to Target Sports in Markham. I called in, and went and wrote it 2 or three weeks later. Try them, they might not have a long waiting list.

Fac

FAC is the old pre 2000 firearms lic. Now called the PAL Possession Acquisition License. Just Google (Possession Acquisition License Ontario) and it will show all persons in the area giving the training and exams.

I believe he's referring the the course/examination folks called Firearms Academy of Canada (aka FAC for short, their play on the acronym, FAC).

I did my PAL/RPAL courses with them. Pretty good folks. They had two classrooms of approx 20 students doing their PAL/RPAL the weekend I did mine and they're usually booked up 2 months in advance! There were a number of people that just showed up on Sunday to do the challenge.
