Firearms International Corp Garcia Bronco .410 Shotgun

Hey,
There is 4 different versions, a .22 LR .22Mag, .410 and a .410/.22. (I have all but the combo, if anyone has one let me know) they are just fun little guns. They were first made in the 1960's by Firearms international and only came as .22 S-L-LR then in 1970 Garcia bought them and added the other 3 types. They were also marketed as Bauer Rabbits later on I believe.

When I first started grouse hunting in the rural eastern townships of Ontario I had one of these in 22 LR/410. It worked good enough for me. Absolutely the lightest 'shotgun' I ever carried afield. IIRC, just around or over 4 pounds loaded. Which is ridiculously light and the best hunting tool for those with a ton of energy and a desire to cover alot of ground, in hunting exploration. Somewhat range limited, but that's not a big problem in forests with lots of undergrowth and a desire to get closer to small game IMO.
PS: Be careful with the forward "loading trigger" One has to pull it all the way back to the rear for each load/unload sequence. Otherwise the steel pin that secures the two halves, it's harder nose (in the rear half) wears into the alloy recess it sits into, in the front half. Causing premature wear resulting in looser action fit while in battery. And with mine, to take it down into two halves, during the unloading sequence, merely turn the two parts a few degrees further apart and pull them away from each other. Viola! A takedown small shotgun that can fit into smaller spaces. By virtue of this design, without some attention, you could inadvertantly drop it apart into two pieces, with the intent to load it in the first place.
