I have been on the RCMP web site and can't find any info on this, can a store my firearms in a wooden cabinet with a lexan polycarbonate instead of glass, it would be easier to bust through the 1/2 plywood that the cabinet is made of, and yes the door locks, on the rcmp site it says in a container not easily broken into

I would think that anything made out of wood would be considered a cabinet and not a safe. You would require a trigger lock or locking device of some sort.

Probably require trigger locks also... no biggie... I have an old cabinet that I keep guns in, trigger locked... my dad made it for me when I was thirteen... a few decades later and it is still hanging in there... I sometimes smile when I look at it.

ya, this started out as a gun cabinet by the wife's uncle and some time during the build it was switch into a book self, just needs a door, nothing on the rcmp site about trigger locks if it is in a lock container/cabinet, but if the firearm is on display it needs a trigger lock, I guess I just found my answer
