I bought one at a gun show. The left firing pin does not stick out quite as far as the right and you get miss fires. It makes a dent in the primer but not quite enough.
It didn't notice this when I bought it. I cannot find any parts list or diagrams on this model to see how it goes together.. Lots on the internal hammer model.
Has anyone taken one apart? Anything to watch out for?

The firing pin on the left is the one that has the problem. They are different. The square notch is deeper on the good one. The parts list shows they should be the same.
Someone must have put in the wrong one and tried to modify it. I haven't been able to find part sources that have that exact part yet.

Well - I'm guessing the depth of the notch sets the firing pin protrusion. Have at it with a file. Chances are they are the same bit, but require fitting...

Have you done anything to the part pre-pics? The left pin looks pretty shiny... As suggested; Before you race out and buy parts, look closely at what you have. It may just be a matter of tickling the collar (part of firing pin that will make contact to stop travelling forward) with a file to allow for sufficient protrusion to touch a round off. I'd even make sure the bushing, and other areas are in properly, and free of gunk before doing much. Since both are out (and read as identical part #) compare left & right bushings, springs, etc too.

EDIT: Ok I don't think I gave the pics enough attention (1000 words is too long). Make certain the schematic I linked is close to your model. Both firing pins are same part # but a bigger difference than protrusion between them:

That notch should be the same if they are truly stereo parts, and could certainly impede forward travel! Start removing material,,,
