Firing Pin

How often does firing pins go? Or is it a simple luck of the draw? Platforms such as AR, 1911, Glock 17s, are they generally more reliable with regards to firing pins? Just curious.

I broke a FP on my Duty Glock model 22
But i was in the training unit shot very day on my lunch break,
many thousands of rds before it broke nose off
luckily easy to replace and we had lots of parts

Blanking/piercing primers that will burn/erode the tip of a firing pin will render it useless in short order.

Turned/reduced diameter firing pins that have had the breech face bushed will bend/bind up the pin since it is not supported as designed.

Dry firing a hammer fired weapon requires a foam ear plug inserted to cushion hammer drop.

Striker fired/Tupperware firearms,I do not touch for various reasons.
