I need some info as far as how many rifle mags are recomended, and what shotgun loads are used, and about how many shotgun rounds. Ive only shot handgun IPSC matches so any recomendations would be apperciated.

Find out what the match director suggests, then triple it!!! #4 shot is max. I had 19 AR mags with me on 1 stage of the Lethbridge 3 gun match today, I used 11 on that stage.

If they follow IPSC rules; the maximum round count for a rifle stage is 40.

Shotgun slugs are shot at a minumum of 40 yards (so sight in)

Any shot is permitted - it's up to you to ensure it's strong enough to knock down plates and poppers at 10 yards + (#4 is about as small as you can usually go)

They may have a stage or two where you shoot targets with shot - in that case, you need 9 shot or less buckshot rounds. (best two score)

As everyone above says, contact the organizer for # of rifle, slugs, shot and buckshot required.

Where can you get copies of stages to get an idea of how a 3 gun shoot works? I would like to try it but have no clue what is involved in a typical stage.
