Hello All,

I shoot PPC with a modified S&W 38 model 10 K Frame.
So far for IPSC use a CZ shadow for production and a CZ tactical Sport 40 in standard.
I do not have a .45 yet

The above guns choices seemed simple to decide on however I am having a really hard time deciding on a .45 for the classic division

When I can save up enough money for a double stack I believe I will purchase a STI Aperio or Legend

In the meantime I want to purchase a 45 single stack for the new classic division.

I do like Kimber, STI, Smith and Wesson E series and some Para's

Can I get some advice on what to purchase.

Cheers!

Thanks Guys,

I get what your saying But I really want to add a 45 to the vault, I reload and wont use it as much as the others so Im sure it will work out

If you already have a .40 gun, you may want to get a single stack 1911 in .40 caliber to offset the ammo cost.

Right On! I am hoping to see more people shooting .45 because of Classic Division, probably won't but I am glad to hear you are interrested. On a budget i would go for the STI spartan. If you are into spending 1000-1500 I would be looking at the Trojan. There are a lot of nice 1911s in the midrange price. I dont think you could go wrong with Kimber or S&W.

I haven't shot or handled all 1911's out there, but most are not as cheap as days past.
From what I see out there and some experience, I'd so for the money, the STI Trojan, with its upgraded features and parts, would be best.
The spartan too, I think that model is more base and the Trojan comes with few upgraded features that you would do to spartan anyways... so a Trojan for approx. $1100 + tax is not bad at all and very good gun.
I'm sure the sig version is very nice too. not sure on its price..
