Hey Folks, thought I would share my first AR build.

Well its not exactly my build, I provided the cash and some technical support but this gun was 80% built by my 7 and 11 year old boys!
What a blast this project has been! From countless hours scouring the internet for exactly what the boys were looking for, to watching them
tear open the packages as they were slowly delivered over the past 3 months, watching you-tube how to videos and then finally putting the rifle together.

GREAT quality time with 2, now official "Junior Gun Nuts" that they will remember when they are old and fat and 40 like their old man, maybe they'll build something cool one day with their kids...sure hope so.

As far " Piglit " thats what the boys decided we should name this one. As it was explained to me, it has a pig on it and it shoots fireballs...."Piglit" not "Piglet" My oldest has suggested that we may not be done just yet as he thinks we need to have the Pooh character shooting fire out his butt engraved on the side....hmmm might have to check with motiuk.....

Total cost with shipping is roughly 2K, and I do realize that you can buy a pretty kick-ass rifle for that price point, but that wasnt the point.
I picked up a Colt 6920 a few months ago and damn that is a sweet rifle, but you just can't buy the experience and the funn me and the boys had putting "Piglit" together.

Now for some "Piglit" ####

Congrats,
It's nice that you have the Jr. gun nuts paticipating in the build.

I'm just waiting on my handguard and barrel to finish my piglet build.
Mine should look something like this when I'm done.
