First AR build with pics need help

So I built my lower receiver today and it seemed to go great. Everything went together pretty easy. I watched a few videos to get a feel for it and off I went.

I have not decided on a trigger guard yet so I left it off. I used a Blue line lower with a CMMG lpk with a UTG stock.

Heres where I need a bit of help... I have a left over part??

What is this?

Also the Buffer tube had 2 buffers in it? Is this an extra?

that's the trigger disconnector...it needs to be installed (unless you got 2of them). The spring is also necessary...sits in the oval of the trigger and the flat of the disconnector sits on top of that (check out some googled images of trigger assemblies to see.)
 
CRAP!!!! Whats the best way to get the trigger group apart and get this in. My thought is the grip off and saftey out?
 
No...those can stay installed...remove the hammer pin and get the hammer out of the way...then remove the trigger pin and pull out the trigger...you'll notice the disconnector has a hole in it? That hole lines up with the trigger pin hole...

perfect! that was easy enough. What does it do?

Also this sounds stupid but I only need 1 buffer in the tube right? Mine came with 2???

No markings what so ever on them. I thought they may be different weights but I couldn't tell by hand and dont have my loading scale here
