image.jpgHey people , I just bought my first AR , stag arms 3R 1/7 twist. I'm wondering if the 1/7 will be good with 53g bullets? I have about 2000 on hand. Also any recommendations for a free float hand guard .( with rails?). Heres a pic of what comes with the gun, anything I should add? Sorry for the questions but I'm new to the AR. I do have a little experience with the XCR-L. Thanks... Brian

The thing with light bullets and a 1 in 7 twist is you are really putting a seriously hard spin on it. If the jacket is weak it will come apart in mid flight. Also just from a pure physics perspective any defect in the bullet will be exacerbated when spun hard. That said, they may work fine, you have to try them to see. I'd load them at the lowest velocity you can get away with though.

If they don't shoot there's always the EE, sell or trade them if they don't work.

thanks ,I have about 1000 already made + 1000 projectiles. ( Vmax).they were for my XCR,which I no longer have. They are loaded to the mid range of the data sheet. I'll give them a shot ,when I get the gun.
