First AR suggestions

Hi guys

I need some advice. I'm interested in getting my first AR 15, but I'm lost when it comes to manufacturers.

In time and I'm thinking of 3 gun, so I just want to buy once.

I've been looking at Daniel Defence and they look pretty good bang for buck.

What about Windham Weaponry?
 
WW sounds like pretty solid rifles. I've yet to hear/read of any complaints on them. I believe SFRC has a pretty good sale on them right now (ends tonight?).

Certainly can't go wrong with a DD. Core15 are pretty reputable as well.

Thanks. I've, been looking at the DD ones on the EE forum. They look pretty good.

It's just so difficult to make a choice. My experience is limited with this platform.
 
You'll never regret buying a DD. Watch the EE, some really good, lightly used rifles show up often, but be prepared to jump as they tend to sell quickly.
 
Just buy a Daniel Defence. It's probably the best AR you can buy that doesn't say Knight's Armament or BCM on it, and it's a grand or better cheaper. It's not a thousand bucks less rifle either. Stay away from NEA. Pretty much anything else is ok, but DD is your absolute best bang for your buck.

DD, BCM, Colt, Noveske, LMT, Larue, KAC, S&W, Stag Arms are all 100% good to go. WW, Core, Spikes, Armalite, RRA, CMMG, PSA, are all decent US built guns.

Bushmaster, DPMS, Dlask, ASA are questionable.

NEA, Norinco, Imperial Defense, SGW/ Olympic Arms are absolute trash.

I absolutely agree with this, I however would move Core down one tier into questionable.

You won't find LaRue up here, so I'd add in PWS in it's place, especially with their new line of DI Rifles soon to be avail here.
 
Black Forge tier 3 is a good contender for a first AR.
Its a good merican made mil spec AR. For a good price to. The upper and lower reciever fit tighter than any AR I have ever handled. Including my Daniel Defense.

Why would you bump CORE down? Every one I've owned or handled has been a solid no-frills mil spec AR. Transferable "no BS" warranty, not that I've seen one broken down...

Other than that I concur with TW25Bs recommendations.
