My first run at a rifle review on my Sako Bavarian Carbine. Open to comments and feedback, filmed on an iPhone 6, bad lighting and shakey camera work included at no extra charge.

I have a Bavarian Carbine in 6.5x55, and I enjoy it very much. I agree with you on the optilocks, but I went with a Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 because I wouldn't mount a heavy scope like the Nightforce on this type of rifle.

I mounted a Leupold VX-R 1.25-4 with the 'Firedot 4' reticle on mine, in Sako QR bases and extra-low rings. Just perfect, and it looks a little more traditionally European to me that way, especially with a modernized version of a German #4 crosshair.

These sure are a lovely hunting rifle.

Good job on the video. You're probably your own best critic so if there are changes or improvements you want to make another time you'll recognize them. BTW nice to hear you say Sako (soft "A") and not Sako (hard "A"). Heard it once said the Sakos go boom and Seikos go tic tic.
